Officially the project is on hold for the time being. So don’t expect updates in the immediate future especially from NyPod’s side. That said I am still working on learning and porting the game to Godot and have been making slow progress. Part of the reason it’s going to take a while is because multiple reasons.
This is a free passion project and it being stressful is not going to happen and if it does breaks are necessary.
Not going at game jam pace which causes burnout and long periods of no desire to work on the project.
Doing things the right way to be properly expandable in the future takes time. The jam version was cobbled together as quickly as possible and honestly adding new features to that version is extremely painful since it was hacked together to get it to the jam state within the time frame.
IRL stuff between both NyPod and I have and will continue to take priority.
I know how much people want new features. Believe me, NyPod and I probably want them the most of all. But these things take time when done properly and sustainably. Current state is me getting the game caught up to the state of the demo but architecture in a way that can more properly be expanded using Godot. This is and has been going fairly smoothly but will still be a ways out before it’s caught up. Once it’s there and NyPod has time, we will officially bo longer be on hold and be able to work on extending it to our full vision of the game. Until then please do not bother NyPod for updates and remain patient. I appreciate the enthusiasm everyone has shown, and will continue to work sustainably on slowly moving the project towards the end goal.
thank you for replying. I very much understand the stress of changing game engines as I have changed from unity to Godot as well, but ever since the whole runtime fee event I have made 0 progress in actually learning Godot.

It’s still going to be a bit. Combination of burnout and other personal things have delayed progress recently but we’re ramping back up and hope to start providing more soon. Please be patient while we continue to work on the game. The next update will add a ton but still requires a lot of time.

Visiting the Spa and selecting "Rest" restores Stamina.
During the "Beach Trip" random event, selecting "Sunbathe" restores Stamina and increases "Preg" by a small amount.
During the "Pink Shower" random event, selecting "Long Shower" restores a large amount of Stamina and increases "Preg" by a large amount, and selecting "Short Shower" restores a small amount of Stamina and increases "Preg" by a small amount.
A very fun game! Even the theming of the game aside, I liked the actual card battle mechanics. Is there are any planned increases to size limits though?
The current max size for Elra is currently planned to be either her max size or close to it. Hyper isn’t going to be a primary focus for Elra and max size for her is already quite large.
Since the next update is going to be a ways away, would you consider releasing the current builds unity project files so people like me could make edits or mods for it?
Sorry. You’ll just have to be patient. Releasing the source code could cause all sorts of nightmares and is ultimately unnecessary for modding Unity games. Additionally any mods made for this version would not work for the next version since most of the code is being rewritten to better support being a long term project rather than a quick and dirty jam entry. So please be patient while we add tons of new features and improvements to the game.
No estimation at this moment. Don’t expect it for a while. I made ambitious estimations in a few other posts that have proven to be inaccurate. Project is still being worked on but its going slow. Redoing a bunch of code behind the scenes to be less spaghetti so its easier to add new features without breaking everything. Hoping to tease a few things near the end of July. Hoping to have a better estimate of the update date near end of July.

Honestly what’s there is near the max size we’re planning for Elra. There might be some hyper size nods through events or enemies at some point. And possibly a different playable protagonist waaaaaaay later in the development life cycle that has a larger max size. Note: plans can change so please take long term plans with a grain of salt.
Bug Report I guess. Beach event doesn't necessarily boost the number of babies. Playing on V0.1.1, Events triggered were Retrieving gold from cavern, retrieving money from pool, Stealing Idol, visiting shop (no purchase made), and then when selecting resting at the beach no change occurred.
Beach event only adds size not babies. That’s intended. We’re likely going to adjust a bunch of event outcome rewards for future updates though so lots is subject to change regardless.
I return, unfortunately bearing bad news, but this time I think it might be a "me" problem rather than a "Mac" problem. The program came up, opened for about 3 milliseconds, then crashed. Here's some of the more important looking gobbledygook it spat out at me.
I unfortunately don’t have a Mac I can build the game natively on myself. I was briefly able to test it on a Mac and the game definitely worked for me even if the custom cursor was like 3x the intended size. If you have experience using the terminal, feel free to try this
from the folder containing the game to ensure all the permissions are properly set. If that doesn’t work, then it’s likely an issue with the CPU architecture of your Mac not playing nicely with the game (not your fault. It just means I need to do some work to properly support all Macs in the future). For now, continue to use Wine and hopefully I can figure out why Unity doesn’t want to play nicely with the Mac build. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
We definitely need to balance the game a lot. This game was made in 3 weeks for a game jam and we worked right up to the deadline and didn’t have time to balance. Future content updates will include lots of balance changes and more!
Hey there, another mac user who can't run the game here, although I was able to extract the game out of the .app.zip file, it was "damaged or incomplete" so I tried running the Windows version using WINE and may have come across at least part of the problem, being that the game is made using DirectX11, which (to my knowledge) there is no way to encode in a way that will run on Mac. Figured I'd at least mention it so y'all and the rest of the Mac users know.
(The Mac I'm on is a MacBook Air 13-inch, with a 1.7GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 memory, & an Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB graphics card)

In the map, there are times when Elra's walk animation is frozen, I do not know if this was already addressed. And on another note, is Elra's pregnancy size going to be shown on the map with her mini character?

The usage of pregnancy is interesting (cards that scale with preg meter, events effected by how pregnant you are, and contraction that damage you overtime once the preg meter is full). The cards are diverse enough to provide some replay value (neutral, fire, water, thunder, and pregnant). Elra is pretty cute, like to see more of her. I wonder what’s her personality is.
Will there be clothes that can used to customized Elra’s appearance? (I.e., sports bra and shorts, swimsuit)
Will there be different type of babies to choose to bear from the start? If so, will it change the gameplay? (I.e., slime increase chance of getting water cards, dragon start with more fire cards)

Customizing Elra’s outfit is an interesting idea we hadn’t considered. I’ll bring it up with NyPod. Don’t expect it in the near future but maybe someday after we finish the core game.

Sorry, I am unsure. I do not have a Mac to test with and trusted Unity to build it correctly. Do you know which CPU Chip you have? This version should be built to support any thing but it’d be good to collect info to see how it affects users so I can look into getting that fixed up.
Heya! I don't know if it'll work on yours, but WINE might allow you to run the Windows version of the game, and The Unarchiver allowed me to unpack the .app.zip file, albeit I couldn't run it, due to it being "damaged or incomplete"
Development pace will slow down a bit but we’re still working! The pace we worked at during the jam is unsustainable long term and we want to make sure we can build this game up to meet our long term vision. Stay tuned for more. Next update will hopefully be out around the end of June to clean up what we had planned for the Jam. That deadline is not set in stone though. We will only release updates that meet our high standards in the future.

This game is marvelous. I enjoyed it enough that I subsequently "purchased" it for $10. Hope that small amount helps inspire future content! If you start a patreon / subscribestar for this, I'm all in :)
I do have some feedback/suggestions, but I want to stress that this is a fantastic effort for a 3 week game jam, so these are more thoughts for possible future content.
Pregnancy integration - right now pregnancy is very nicely integrated with player side mechanics (cards and damage at full bell size), but I would love integration in other ways. Examples could include:
Dialogue that pops up during the fight whenever her belly gets bigger (could also pop up after the fight if that makes things easier on the coding side).
Alternatively, a random piece of dialogue could show up after each encounter based on her current belly size.
I guess I just want to know what she thinks about her belly and hear her reaction to what is happening.
Enemies interacting with the pregnancy through ways other than doing damage (shrinking? growing? appreciating? commenting?)

We definitely have tons of plans for more cards that interact with be pregnancy already designed and are constantly exploring ways to tie the two together. We like having a mix of cards with interesting designs mechanically and interesting designs maternally. But we also have some ideas in the works that could bring them together. As well as other means for the player to interact with it beyond cards.
As for dialogue, we actually planned to have Elra comment on her growing size. We have several lines written for various stages already including some snide comments from the host. We sadly couldn’t fit it into the jam but we are one step ahead of you. There’s also plans for more dialogue in other places as well.
As for the enemies, we have plenty of ideas and plans for the enemies to interact more with your pregnancy. Several of the existing enemies’ behaviors are placeholders right. Expect to see more interactions between the enemies and your belly. And between the enemies and their own in some cases ;)

Bigger sizes for Elra are unlikely. Not really our cup of tea and she already gets quite huge at max babies. Glad you enjoyed the game!

Yes that is a bug with her overworld sprite, will of course be fixed in the future.

All I can say that it is an unmodified MacBook air from 2015, Does Not have unity installed if this helps.

Heya! I don't know if it'll work on yours, but WINE might allow you to run the Windows version of the game, and The Unarchiver allowed me to unpack the .app.zip file, albeit I couldn't run it, due to it being "damaged or incomplete"

Development pace will slow down a bit but we’re still working! The pace we worked at during the jam is unsustainable long term and we want to make sure we can build this game up to meet our long term vision. Stay tuned for more. Next update will hopefully be out around the end of June to clean up what we had planned for the Jam. That deadline is not set in stone though. We will only release updates that meet our high standards in the future.

This game is marvelous. I enjoyed it enough that I subsequently "purchased" it for $10. Hope that small amount helps inspire future content! If you start a patreon / subscribestar for this, I'm all in :)
I do have some feedback/suggestions, but I want to stress that this is a fantastic effort for a 3 week game jam, so these are more thoughts for possible future content.
Pregnancy integration - right now pregnancy is very nicely integrated with player side mechanics (cards and damage at full bell size), but I would love integration in other ways. Examples could include:

We definitely have tons of plans for more cards that interact with be pregnancy already designed and are constantly exploring ways to tie the two together. We like having a mix of cards with interesting designs mechanically and interesting designs maternally. But we also have some ideas in the works that could bring them together. As well as other means for the player to interact with it beyond cards.
As for dialogue, we actually planned to have Elra comment on her growing size. We have several lines written for various stages already including some snide comments from the host. We sadly couldn’t fit it into the jam but we are one step ahead of you. There’s also plans for more dialogue in other places as well.
As for the enemies, we have plenty of ideas and plans for the enemies to interact more with your pregnancy. Several of the existing enemies’ behaviors are placeholders right. Expect to see more interactions between the enemies and your belly. And between the enemies and their own in some cases ;)

Game is fire, very quality art and gameplay. I would pay good money for a fully fleshed out version of this.
